According to the “Last Chance to Play” section on PlayStation Plus, PlayStation’s online premium subscription service, 10 games are leaving the platform this February. Reformatted in the summer of 2024 to include 3 levels of membership, PlayStation Plus includes a selection of PS4 and PS5 games for subscribers to play for free while accessing the service, with games being rotated in and out alongside new releases.
Among the games being removed from the service this month are PlayStation 4 classics Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Tekken 7. Fans also mourned the removal of other titles, such as I Am Setsuna, Oninaki, and Lost Sphear. Given Tekken 8’s release date of January 26, 2024, it’s no wonder that Bandai Namco would remove its predecessor from the free games selection. However, these games will likely remain on the platform until February 20, giving players over a month to play these titles before they leave PlayStation Plus.
Although these games are being rotated out of the service, plenty of new titles are set to join the array of free titles, with a few having already been added to PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Premium this week. PlayStation Plus saw games such as Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands – Next-Level Edition for the PS4 and PS5, as well as Resident Evil 2 for the PS4 and PS5 join its roster, with PlayStation Premium featuring titles like Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection for the PS4 and Rally Cross for the PS4 and PS5.
