One of the most celebrated fan events is back once again. Digital Extremes has announced that TennoCon 2022 is indeed happening, albeit in a digital-only format due to the worldwide effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will be taking place on July 16 with the developer stating that there will be brand new as well as a community art show. For those who don’t know, TennoCon is the annual fan convention for Digital Extreme’s most famous IP, the free-to-play Warframe, which has gone on to be one of the most popular titles in the F2P market for the better part of 9 years.

Digital Extremes COO Sheldon Carter also mentioned that fans should expect a “jaw-dropping lineup of announcements and reveals” as well as possible updates for quality of life services to the game’s existing features. In addition, there will be special in-game experiences for Warframe during the event, which is standard for most TennoCon’s of the past. Speaking of which, TennoCon will also be streamed completely free of charge for anyone to view, such as the 2021 and 2020 event. Prior to this, TennoCon was an in-person event that took place in London, Ontario Canada where Digital Extremes is located.
TennoCon Dojo showcase is also making a return to this year’s event. Warframe players can connect and join up with clan members to create their own Dojos in order to have a shot at being featured during TennoCon. The event will also see the return of the art and cosplay contests, both of which will be featured during the livestream. Anyone who wants to submit their art pieces before it begins can check it out here.
TennoCon 2022 will take place on July 16, 2022, and will be livestreamed for free on their official Twitch channel.
