Pokémon GO’s Festival of Lights is inspired by the Diwali Festival of Lights that takes place between mid-October and mid-November. It is widely celebrated all over the world but has its biggest celebration in India by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, and some Buddhists as well. This festival promotes prosperity and acts as a symbol of the triumph of light over darkness. Because this festival is most popular in India, Dedenne and Blitzie will be appearing even more frequently for players in India, and there will be twice as much catch candy. So what are you waiting for? Get going before the festival is over!
