Recently, Fujifilm announced their collaboration with Nintendo to bring a special edition of the Instax mini Link printer that will allow players to print their favorite screenshots on their Nintendo Switch. This specific Instax mini Link will be made in an “Ash White” color with unique Nintendo Switch blue and red accent color. Additionally, there will also be a special bundle of the Instax mini Link printer which will come with an exclusive Pikachu silicone case. The printer and app will be available conveniently on the release date of the New Pokémon Snap, so trainers will be able to share their favorite pics as prints from day one. However, those who want the bundle will, unfortunately, have to wait for its release in May.
For those unfamiliar with the photography-inspired Pokémon game, the original Pokémon Snap was originally released in 1999. The game features up-close encounters with Pokémon allowing trainers to research and take pictures of various Pokémon, and now New Pokémon Snap will bring the fan-favorite game to the Nintendo Switch on April 30. Players will travel across the Lental Region to help Professor Mirror document and research hundreds of Pokémon.
While the printer collaboration comes at the perfect timing for the New Pokémon Snap, there are plenty of other Nintendo titles such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Mario, and Monster Hunter Rise for players to take screenshots and share with others. Using the app on a smartphone device, players will be able to transfer their screenshots to their phones by scanning a QR code. They will also be able to customize their pictures before printing with Nintendo characters or game-themed frames.
The Instax mini Link printer and the app will be available on April 30 with the Pikachu bundle coming later in May. For more information be sure to check out the official website.
