IO Interactive released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Hitman 3. The new trailer showing off what Agent 47 can do now that the game will be hitting next-gen consoles. It showcases different methods of assassination for nearly three minutes. Fans of the franchise can get their hands on Hitman 3 in January 2021.
The trailer shows all of the ways Agent 47 can take down his target while using his signature stealth action. As the famed assassin, players will sneak into locations with stolen disguises and access keys and use distractions to take down opponents. It seems the developers at IO Interactive have been busy brainstorming, as the trailer displays roughly a dozen new ways to take down your target. From a crowbar to a chandelier, a car explosion, or just some plain old poison; the possibilities are seemingly endless.
The first Hitman was released on PC 21 years ago in 2000. Since then, the action series has developed into a trilogy (with Hitman 3 completing it) and also spawned a couple of spin-offs. The newest addition will be able to run on next-gen consoles. According to a press release from IO Interactive, “Hitman 3 will support 4k visuals, 60 fps, HDR and faster loading times. The game will also bring refinements to interaction animation and AI, as well as Glacier’s crowd technology that will allow up to 300 NPCs in a location at once.” Players will also be able to import locations from previous games.
Although players will have to wait a whole month to play the third installment in the franchise, pre-order is currently available for Hitman 3. IO Interactive also announced the release of a Deluxe Edition and players will receive a free upgrade to next-gen consoles if the game was previously bought on current-gen. Hitman 3 will be available to play on January 20, 2021, on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
