While fans get amped up for the release of the Tony Hawk Pro-Skater 1 & 2 coming out in September, they’ll have the release of the updated version of Skater XL 1.0 to come out. But the developers of the Skater XL made an announcement about pushing the date back of its release but it’s only pushed back a few days. Skater XL was planned to be released on July 7th but now in a recent twitter announcement. They have decided to postpone the release of the newly updated game on July 28th. With the new date changes, developers wanted to stated that this release only applies to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
What is up, guys! We just wanted to let you know that 1.0 will be launching on July 28, a few weeks later than the original date. Despite our best efforts, and due in part to things out of our control, we will be moving the launch of Skater XL 1.0 on PS4,XB1, and PC to July 28th pic.twitter.com/OaRw2n21DL

With the release launch for Nintendo Switch, they made a different statement regarding a new date for Skater XL 1.0. “We’ll be announcing a new launch date for Nintendo Switch in the coming weeks. We appreciate your patience as we finalize the game. Not to worry between now and then, we will be showing more new content and features that will be available at launch and continuing to polish the game.”
Many cases can be made as to why this push back is happening. Many people speculate that this was because of the COVID-19 pandemic that is happening right now but that is far from the truth. They wanted their fans to know that the decision was because their goal was to add a new proper story mode so their fans can feel more engaged in the game.
So without any major changes to the date besides a couple of weeks, players will still be able to shred and making awesome tricks in the Skater XL 1.0 game which will now be released later in the month for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on July 28th.
