Earlier today the team at VALORANT announced that they would be partnering with Twitch to bring VALORANT‘s first major tournament event to celebrate the game’s official launch. The Twitch Rivals: VALORANT Launch Showdown will be a global online Twitch Rivals event with a prize of $200,000 going to the winning team. The event will be taking place on the first weekend of the game’s launch and will feature teams with creators from Japan, Korea, Brazil, Europe, LATAM and North America. The tournament is just one of the planned events featured in the Twitch Summer Game Fest, and more information about the tournament and events happening can be found on the Summer Game Fest blog. A recent tweet made by the VALORANT team gave light into just how big the event will be, tweeting that the Twitch Rivals tournament is set to be “the biggest global VALORANT tournament the world has seen so far”.
