Platinum Games, the developer behind Bayonetta, Nier: Automata, Astral Chain, and the upcoming Babylon’s Fall have created a new website simply titled Platinum 4 . The site was tweeted earlier today and simply states #Platinum4. While little more has been revealed on Twitter, the site also doesn’t reveal much simply showing the number 4 with today’s date underneath it. Beyond the site deliberately glitching at certain intervals of time, very little is revealed.

While it is currently unknown what this website could be indicating, Gamespot does have a theory. Gamespot’s theory is that this website is linked in some way to the rumor that Platinum Games would be launching a kickstarter campaign for a PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch port of The Wonderful 101. This rumor can be supported by a tweet from the Creative Director of The Wonderful 101 and Platinum Games co-founder Hideka Kamiya who on January 31st, tweeted a photo of himself with the caption “Who’s that photobombing Hideki Kamiya?” The photo shows the creative director at his desktop displaying the number “101” on the right behind him and a Nintendo Switch on the left next to him, hinting at the long-rumored project. However, any link between the site and the rumored port project cannot be confirmed at this moment.

This could also be a part of Platinum Games’ exploration into self-publishing after they received a capital investment from Tencent, however, this cannot be confirmed at this time. Aside from the website, Platinum Games is also working on Bayonetta 3, which has been in the works since before it was announced at Game Awards 2017. While the release date for Bayonetta 3 hasn’t been announced yet, a leak has revealed that Bayonetta & Vanquish are receiving a remaster for the 10th Anniversary which will release on February 18th, 2020. Nothing more is known about the site Platinum 4 but it is likely that more information will be revealed at a later date.
