Chinese New Year is just a stone’s toss away, with the Lunar New Year starting on February 16. To celebrate, Steam has started its Lunar New Year Steam Sale today, with a large portion of available titles on Steam going on sale. In addition to the sale, Steam has beefed up their Steam wishlists feature by changing the way wishlists are viewed and used.

With every Steam sale comes a wide variety of games that are a steal for their price, relatively speaking. Some of the globally top-selling games at the moment that are currently on sale include Grand Theft Auto V, Nioh: Complete Edition, Human: Fall Flat, Slay the Spire, Dark Souls III: Complete Edition, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt GotY Edition, ARK: Survival Evolved, Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and Rocket League.
To top the sale off, the new and improved Steam wishlist is now available for gamers to use and view. The idea for the update is to streamline the delivery of information and data in order to better digest and view a wishlist. A new filter option allows users to show games based on operating system, exclude early access, pre-release, and VR-only titles, only show games if they are on sale, and it can even show games that can be purchased based on the current amount of money in a user’s Steam Wallet. Users may also view certain types of items on their wishlist, which includes games, software, DLC, and videos. Additionally, a wishlist can now be organized in multiple way, and these include a user’s rank order, price, name, date added, top selling, release date, and review score. Tags have been added to the wishlist viewer for all games, and the search option now extends to these tags in addition to game titles.
Finally, a user’s wishlist is now more easily customizable. There is no longer a need to drag and drop a game to change its rank on a wishlist. Now, users can click “TOP” to move a game to the #1 place on their wishlist, or they can manually enter in the position they want their game to be at, and the list will adjust itself accordingly.
The Lunar New Year Steam Sale will last from February 15 to February 19.
