Ubisoft has announced that For Honor’s fifth season of added content will be available on February 15. This new season, called “Age of Wolves” will bring various hero updates and introduce dedicated servers on all available platforms.
The dedicated server infrastructure will begin implementation during Season 5, meaning they won’t be available immediately. These servers aim to remove the re-syncing, NAT requirements, and session migrations that players currently face. The exact date will be released by Ubisoft at a later date, but promises to deliver stable connectivity throughout all platforms, according to their latest blogpost.
There will be updates released to five existing heroes, which include Conqueror, Highlander, Kensei, Berserker, and Nobushi. These updates will include major gameplay changes that serve to re-balance the available roster. Kensei and Conqueror will receive new movesets, while Berserker, Nobushi, and Highlander will simply be re-balanced. Ubisoft stated that after Season 5, five more characters will receive similar updates alongside three new training modes throughout the course of the season.
A new repuation level cap will also be available beginning this new season. Alongside updates regarding a new gear progression system, a shift will be made for the usual 4v4 Ranked Mode, from Dominion to Tribute. A new item that has not been disclosed yet will contain the ability to boost player XP in exchange for Salvage. Ubisoft has stated that there will be plenty more updates throughout the year, and that each upcoming season will trickle out small modifications such as these.
For Honor is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
