Enodo Games, more known to the world as an architectural visualization company, has been in the process of making their first game, a city-builder called The Architect: Paris, since 2013.
In a typical city-builder you build a new city from scratch, however in The Architect: Paris, you transform a city that already exists. You’ll be given tools to update buildings, parks, road infrastructure and even monuments to create a unique vision of Paris that tests your ability to stay on top of important city issues related to the environment, food production, population increase, energy, climate change and more.
…it will confront you with the challenges of city management and development as the head of a team of experts. How will you face the challenges of an always growing population, of climate change and all the environmental issues? How will you make Paris evolve? Will you renovate, transform or destroy and rebuild the existing buildings with towers, individual housing or parks? You have the power!
If you haven’t heard about this game, that’s not surprising. There hasn’t been a lot of specific information on it over the years. During my own research I found there has even been such long periods between developer updates that skepticism grew over whether or not they were even working on it anymore. Fortunately, it’s hard to be a skeptic now, as this past Friday Enodo Games released a new gameplay video.
There is no release date, minimum specs or what platforms it will be available on as of yet, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on this one.
