Slam Tank is a hack and slash game where players control a tank to reclaim the world from an AI that has taken over the world’s machines. Players can choose from a selection of three different types of tanks, which have unique combat styles for players to learn. It is a game that is already building traction as it received 100,000 wishlists within two weeks of it’s announcement.
Combat gameplay will allow players to spin their turret, swing their cannon barrel against their enemies, and ram into their ranks. Attacks, drifts, and the unique abilities of each tank can be chained into a vicious fury of attacks that will leave their enemies in scraps.
Massive industrial machines will attempt to get in the players path as they attempt to reclaim the world. Players must build-up theirs skills to dodge enemy attacks, close the distance between them, and chain attacks to bring them down for good. There are hit boost pads around their environment, helping players moving around quickly or launch themselves off ramps to gain the upper hand.
As players destroy their enemies, they will gain points for the destruction they cause to the AI controlled machines. The official demo trailer highlights the various types of destruction players can cause. Enemies can rand from smaller humanoid robots to large reinforced trains.
Each tank is customizable. There are decals players can add to their tank from horns to painted fire. They can stylize their tank in a fashion that suits their style or even roll around the battlefield with another smaller tank on their head.
Players interested in the game should wishlist it on steam today as the developers announced the game will be participating in the October Steam Next Fest. The demo for Slam Tank will be available on October 19 as part of the event.
