Over the past few months, the group, CyberLeek, has released numerous authentic gameplay clips of Grand Theft Auto VI, most recently, they released 25 minutes of new footage, much of which has heavy nudity. Now, the group is threatening to release what they claim is a working build of the game, “full story mode, played to the end, credits and all.” CyberLeek is threatening to release the build if the game’s physical release plans aren’t changed.
The recent 25-minute gameplay video reportedly features a fully nude Lucia in CyberLeek’s attempt to push their crypto scheme. However, there are some who believe that the group is using a developer build or cheats to make Jason and Lucia naked and that the leaked gameplay does not accurately represent GTA VI as it will play at launch.
One video from a previous leak had a tank that was spawned into the game world which suggests access to a dev menu of some kind. The new videos show both Jason and Lucia fully naked but the NPCs weren’t reacting which lead to many to believe that the effect was done with either a dev menu or cheats.
In CyberLeek’s message published over the weekend, they claimed that if its cyrptocurrency reaches a 30 million market cap, it would leak the full build of GTA VI.
Take-Two has said that its efforts to track down the leaker were “rapidly evolving.” They have filed multiple subpoenas to Discord, demanding information on specific servers and users. Take-Two previously withdrew a subpoena request for information on three personas they were investigating tied to a leaked video from YouTube.
“Take-Two’s investigation into the individual(s) responsible for posting infringing content on YouTube, and elsewhere online, has been (and is) evolving rapidly as new information becomes available,” Take-Two’s legal representative wrote.
“Take-Two has been working to provide the Court with the additional information requested, but as this very dynamic situation has progressed, Take-Two has determined it no longer needs the particular information requested. Thus, Take-Two respectfully withdraws its subpoena request.”
