The greatness of Overwatch continues. Developers Blizzard announced recently that the game has reached a total of 25 million players. That doesn’t necessarily mean that the game sold 25 million copies, but that’s an incredibly prestigious accomplishment.

In November, Blizzard announced that Overwatch reached 20 million players, the fastest any Blizzard game has ever reached 20 million players.
Blizzard’s current seasonal content, Year of the Rooster, is currently out. Year of the Rooster is based off the Chinese Zodiac, with 2017 being the Year of the Rooster. For a limited time, it adds a CTF-style brawl mode and special Loot Boxes containing new items for all platforms. There are up to 100 new items, including news skins for characters like Mei, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Tracer, and Ana. You view all of the new skins available here.
In other Overwatch news, we know that there will be changes for the character Bastion. Blizzard principal designer Geoff Goodman said that he started fixing up Bastion after a forum thread noted how lackluster Bastion’s position is in the game. Goodman didn’t reveal what the changes are or when they will become available.
“I’m not quite sure when these changes will hit the live game; we’re still testing different things internally,” Goodman said.
Overwatch fans at first had problems with how overpowered he was, but strategies were then made specifically to take him down quick and easily. An Overwatch tracker notes that he has among the lowest win rates and among the lowest play times of any of the characters.
It’s unknown what the level of the changes are. Only calling them “some changes” could indicate that the changes aren’t going to be at the level that the changes to Symmetra were, but Goodman hasn’t released extra information regarding the changes.
