Life in prison is already hard, but in Full Belly Breakout, a newly announced game, it gets even harder with the playable character having to dodge surprisingly food based enemies on the inside. Zxima.llc through its publisher PLAYISM published a busy announcement trailer that shows off some of the enemies.
In a first person view, the prisoner wakes up to a locked door. The guard brings him his food, a plate of rice with a multitude of eyes. The player does something with the fork he’s holding and the unique grains of rice, somehow climb down from the bowl, and start walking away from the tray. This bizarre culinary journey continues with a bowl having a shark swimming inside it and a mini human on the tray as well, then an even more shocking “Solar System on a Plate?” which is exactly what it sounds like. It returns back to the rice bowl and the player eats the remnants of the rice, without dying. Afterwards, a “Menu” pops up summarizing the amount of food, any “Damage Taken” from the food of the day, a few other things, as well as the level the player is at and what seems to be the percentage increase gained.
More food appears, with a tray of three colored soups and water, a soup and what might be dumplings, and heated tofu. The tofu seems to give him some kind of damage, then a messed up tray showcases a metamorphosing spoon that turns into multiple sharp spines, turning the whole screen red. The player meets a talking burger, a lot of armed bots and a floating, talking creature, as well as a normal looking lady, who definitely should not be in the cell with the player, and they discuss. The player then tries to eat a floating astronaut, gets a “boombox” as food on one occasion and goes for a car ride with the lady in the cell prior, hinting at the possibility of escaping the prison, via her aid. A talking blob creature enters the cell, calling the player “Boss Number 32,”notifying viewers of other prisoners, before a barbeque meat dish gets dropped off. Full Belly Breakout will join PC, via Steam in 2027.
