PlayStation’s State of Play occurred this September 3rd and one of the trailers dropped amongst the almost two hour long show was Final Fantasy Resonance, as PlayStation revealed its demo trailer. In it, they announced that the Demo for the October 22nd game drops “Today.” The Demo contains chapter 1, and instead of starting over upon the game’s release, players may be able to start where they left off as the trailer description promises one can “carry your save data over to the full game.”
Starting with a dragon exploding the lands, the team faces off against an armoured threat. The game, not only is in “IN HD-2D” but also has a “Turn Based Battle System” where each member of the team employs their signature attacks against each boss, one after the other. The bosses on the other hand have the ability to attack everyone at once, with damage reflecting on everyone’s three meters. With multiple bosses and different places to run through, the team fights for their lives, despite the vast powers of their enemies, because as Archwitch Fina states “We cannot lose…There is no alternative…” A surprising Sephiroth jumps into action facing off against the core team, and he gives them a very hard time, with their attacks seeming to barely harm him. With fancy cutscenes and his impressive resilience, Sephiroth promises an exciting battle from the trailer footage alone, as he brings down an apocalyptic blast attack which turns the whole screen white.
