Despite rumors circulating online about the release timeframe for the PlayStation 6, Sony does not seem to be slowing down on announcing extras for the PlayStation 5 system. Earlier today, PlayStation announced took to their social media accounts to announce a Wolverine Bundle, in addition to accessories based on the X-Men member. This is PlayStation’s second collaboration with Marvel for a console bundle, and their fourth console collaboration to date.

The Wolverine Bundle will be released in conjunction with Marvel’s Wolverine, a game exclusive to the PlayStation 5. The bundle includes a “PS5 Digital Edition console with Limited Edition console covers, a Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller, and a download code for the game.” The console is bright yellow with black accents, and features a black outline of Wolverine’s face. Scratch marks from his claws are etched into the system, allowing “players peek under the hood of the PS5 Digital Edition and see what’s underneath.” This option will set fans back $649.99 USD, which is almost $150 USD more expensive than previous limited edition digital consoles. The matching DualSense controller comes in either primarily black, or primarily white, but still features claw marks, and will be sold additionally outside of the bundle for $84.99 USD.

Fans who are enthusiastic, but still budget conscious, have the option to purchase console covers separately, provided they already own a PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Slim, or PlayStation 5 Pro. For the original PlayStation 5, as well as the Slim, players can buy covers identical to the ones on the Digital Edition console found in the bundle. Although Sony will not be making a standalone physical console for Marvel’s Wolverine, these covers are made for both consoles with disc drives, and ones without. The MSRP for the covers by themselves is set at $74.99 USD, just a fraction of the full bundle cost. For players who have the PlayStation 5 pro, there are two options for the design on these covers. The yellow cover, described above, is available, along with one that swaps the yellow for white, called the Adamantium Edition after Wolverine’s suit. Both of these covers will be sold at the same price as the others listed above. The bundle sale begins on August 19, 2026 at 7am PT, and the trailer is available for viewing below.
