First-person RPGs are one of the biggest genres in gaming, thanks to games like Oblivion, Fallout, and Cyberpunk. The genre lends itself so much to creative expression and overall storytelling. And due to its nature, it tends to have many game releases, which can cause some to be lost in the shuffle, especially if it’s an indie title. So if you’re a fan of Oblivion or first-person RPGs in general, AetherCycle is a game to check out. It’s a first-person action RPG with fast-paced combat and overall exploration. The game itself doesn’t have an official release date yet, but early access has been announced for November 2026, so if you wanna try it out, you can on Steam in November.
AetherCycle, the First-person action RPG by Deep Interactive, will have you, the player, explore a vast open world shaped by the Cycle. You will explore ancient lands, battle powerful enemies, and forge your own path through fast-paced combat. You will also have character progression and be rewarded with loot fit for your adventure in this first-person RPG. The game will allow you to take on the world solo if you so choose, or you can do co-op to complete quests, battle enemies, and level your character together if you so choose. The game looks heavily inspired by the Elder Scrolls series, especially Oblivion, and that’s great, as both the series and the game are fantastic. It’s nice to see others take from it and build their own, call it a Scrolls-like.
AetherCycle appears to be a very ambitious game, and based on what has been shown, it looks really good. There’s some roughness to it, but since it will go into early access first, the game has plenty of time to improve. The general consensus for the game is that it looks great and they can’t wait to play, as it reminds them a lot of the Elder Scrolls series, and I have to agree. The game itself doesn’t have an official release date yet, but early access has been announced for November 2026, so if you wanna try it out, you can on Steam in November.
