Founded in 2021,
VCT Game Changers is a new program which will supplement the competitive season by creating new opportunities and exposure for women and other marginalized genders within VALORANT esports. The competitive VALORANT community is both diverse and incredibly global, and our esport should reflect that. Through Game Changers, we hope to build towards a VALORANT Champions Tour that is more inclusive and representative of our community.
Since the announcement of the Game Changers initiative, several universities and colleges have followed suit, offering Valorant teams specifically designed for female identifying and non binary players. It is worth mentioning, however, that the Game Changers bracket is not the only place that gender minorities are able to participate. The general bracket, simply known as VCT (VALORANT Champions Tour), is still open for all players, regardless of identity.
VCT Game Changers was added to the Champions Tour roster in 2022, when the championships were hosted in Berlin, Germany. In 2023, the championships were located in São Paulo, Brazil, before returning to Berlin for the 2024 championships. Seoul, South Korea hosted the 2025 championships. This year, the 2026 VCT Game Changers championship will be coming back to São Paulo from October 22 through November 1, with official ticket prices recently announced on the official VALORANT website.
If fans wish to purchase tickets, they must do so through Eventim Brazil. Tickets are capped at two per person, per event. Since tickets are purchased online using Brazilian Reais, fans using other currency will need to be able to translate the amount into their local currency to know accurate ticket prices. They do not need to be concerned about acquiring Reais though, since most banks will automatically convert the Reais into whatever currency is in the account.
Though it is currently unknown which teams will be competing in the championships, as the season is still going strong, public ticket sales will go live on August 7 at 1:00 PM BRT, or 9:00 AM PT. The playoffs and championship matches are ticketed separately, so if fans would like to see both events live, it is important that they buy both tickets. The playoff tickets (October 22-28) will be sold for R$160, or roughly $31.30 USD. Finals and championship tickets will be sold for R$210, or approximately $41.08 USD.
Riot Games promises way more than just championship tickets to those who come. The official VALORANT website states that “fans attending in São Paulo can expect more than just world-class VALORANT. Championship weekend will feature community events, fan activations, and opportunities to celebrate the Game Changers ecosystem alongside players, creators, and fellow supporters. Additional details on venue, ticketing, and event programming will be shared soon.” Attached below is a short video of 2025 MVP Daiki, explaining what competing in VCT Game Changers means to her, and why it is so important.
