Shueisha Games and Magnus Games Studio have revealed Wild Wild Eden, an open-world survival crafting RPG planned for Steam Early Access in spring 2027. The game is in development for PC via Steam, with wishlist registration now open.
Wild Wild Eden was first shown under the working title Project Survival at BitSummit Let’s Go!! in July 2023. The new reveal gives the project its official title, updated Steam page, announcement trailer, gameplay trailer, screenshots, and comments from Shueisha Games producer Masakazu Kobayashi and the development team.
The game is set on a primitive fantasy planet where players have to build a new life alongside the creatures that live there. Players can explore forests, mountains, seas, ancient ruins, and floating landmasses while gathering resources, crafting equipment, building a base, and learning how to survive in the world. Monster taming is one of the game’s main systems. Players can befriend creatures, bring them back to their settlement, ride them across land or through the air, and fight alongside them. The game also includes a breeding system, where monsters can pass down traits, abilities, and other qualities. Some offspring may also have rare color variations.
Base building is another major part of the game. Players can gather materials, craft tools and equipment, and build settlements across the wilderness. Farming and fishing are also included, with some monsters able to help around the base. One example shown by Shueisha Games features a Water Slime helping with field work by watering crops. Wild Wild Eden can be played solo or online with other players. The game is built around survival, crafting, exploration, and monster companionship, with creatures helping in daily life instead of only being used for combat or resource gathering.
The game uses an anime-inspired visual style rather than a photorealistic survival-game look. Shueisha Games producer Masakazu Kobayashi said the project has changed significantly since its original reveal, including a change in development engine. According to Kobayashi, the game’s visuals, design, and online elements have been refined during development.
Wild Wild Eden is planned for Steam Early Access in spring 2027. The game will support Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean.
