Polyscape Inc. has announced a May 19, 2026 full release date for NAMAKORIUM, the studio’s cooperative underwater real-time strategy game, which will exit Early Access on PC via Steam.

Up to four players take command of Namako, sea cucumbers humanity has left behind to clean contaminated oceans. Each stage tasks the team with purifying pollution before the in-game food supply runs out, with cleanup involving path-clearing, building construction, and resource collection. Each Namako variant brings a different skill set: limestone gathering for Shell Namako, mining for Iron Namako, and tolerance to extreme temperatures for Flame Namako and Ice Namako. As decontamination progresses, more than 50 “Scenic Creatures” begin populating the recovering seabed. During cleanup, corrupted units called “Blight Namako” may appear, spoiling food stocks and reversing decontamination progress. Players counter them with the Namako Fusion Cannon. The game currently has eight stages, each awarding clear-time-based titles, online co-op matchmaking through Friend Match and Random Match, and Solo Mode supporting either relaxed or fully optimized play. Polyscape portrays what it calls a hidden post-apocalyptic worldview through a cute lens.
Polyscape has noted that further stages, biomes, and creatures are planned for future updates, and that the studio is considering ports beyond Steam, including a possible Nintendo Switch version. Versus and time-attack modes have also been mentioned as potential additions, with the studio noting that those decisions will depend on community feedback gathered through the Steam Hub. In its Early Access roadmap on Steam, the studio wrote that the team believes “in releasing our games early rather than waiting until every imagined feature is complete,” citing user feedback as a goal of the open development period.

Polyscape will time the NAMAKORIUM full launch with Steam’s Ocean Fest, a themed sale event running from May 18 through May 25, 2026. To mark the 1.0 release, the studio will run a 40% off sale alongside a major content update and a dress-up DLC.

NAMAKORIUM is available now in Early Access on Steam, with full launch set for May 19.
