Nintendo has announced recently that starting September 20th the price for the deluxe version of the Wii U will be reduced to $299. It has now come out that there are no plans for an Ambassador Program like the one introduced when the price drop for the 3DS hit just months after its launch.
Many are skeptical that this will boost the fairly low sales that Nintendo has been seeing for the Wii U, which has sold roughly 160,000 units between April and June. Although the upcoming release of the HD remake of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker almost certainly will, but at this point only time will tell.
