The indie horror game It Has My Face officially released Version 1.0 on April 3rd. This newest creation of NightByte Games can be found on Steam, as per its website.
To celebrate the release of the game, the It Has My Face team shared heartfelt remarks on their Steam Game Release page, highlighting how “This game started as a crazy idea and grew into something much bigger thanks to everyone who played, streamed, shared thoughts, and stuck with it throughout development. Your feedback shaped the experience, and we can’t thank you enough for being part of the journey.”
The It Has My Face Launch 1.0 Trailer dropped March 20th showcasing much of the mechanics newly informed players can expect in the Game. The trailer follows the 1st person view of a playable character who is in some kind of underground site. The character shoots at a shaking human before running through the water. The trailer then switches to the character being swarmed by a group of monsters with uncanny faces biting at the player, alongside enemy humans with dialogue boxes.
The trailer switches back to the shaking human who explodes into a red monster with teeth and charges towards the character. The trailer goes black, returning with the character holding a mirror showing its face for the first time, with “Kill your clone,” written and highlighted in red above the mirror. The trailer takes the character, still holding the mirror, through different sites in the world, showing viewers humans milling around, item equip skills and alert screens during fights. The trailer ventures into an underground lab where players can seemingly upgrade their “symbiosis” through injections, granting characters greater skills. A montage highlights various parts of the game, such as an underground prison-like structure with beings encased inside, exploding areas and guards to fight.
The trailer goes black again then amps up the story showing humans detonating and becoming monstrous creatures with red tentacles. The world falls into chaos with monstrous humans chasing the playable character, multiple player killings and the world being overrun by these creatures. Ending on the climax, It Has My Face players are certainly in for a mysterious time.
