Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios have shared new details about MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, including its release plans, pricing, and the range of physical and digital editions available to players. The game is now set to launch digitally on April 16, 2026, with physical editions following a few months later on July 10, 2026. Alongside this announcement, the developers also clarified that versions for older consoles will not arrive at launch, with more information on those platforms expected at a later time.
At release in April, players will be able to purchase the standard digital version of the game for $29.99 across PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The Xbox version will support Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing players to access the game across both console and PC within the Xbox ecosystem at no extra cost. For those looking for additional content, a Digital Deluxe Edition will also be offered on Steam for $39.99. This version includes the base game, access to a future DLC expansion, the full original soundtrack composed by Patryk Scelina with an additional track by Caravan Palace, and a digital comic book. Both digital editions are available for pre-purchase starting today.
Physical editions will arrive later in July, with two versions planned: a Standard Edition and a more premium Deluxe “Mouseburg Edition.” The Standard physical release will be priced at $29.99 on PlayStation 5 and $39.99 on Nintendo Switch 2. Meanwhile, the Deluxe edition will be available across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2, with pricing set at $49.99 for most platforms and $59.99 for the Switch version. Pre-orders for these physical editions are open through local retailers.
The Deluxe “Mouseburg Edition” is designed for collectors and includes a variety of bonus items. Alongside the base game, players will receive a 7-inch vinyl record featuring select tracks from the soundtrack, including music by Scelina and Caravan Palace. The package also includes a double-sided poster depicting a map of Mouseburg and a schematic of the protagonist’s weapon, a printed comic book with sticker sheets, a set of 33 baseball-style trading cards inspired by an in-game minigame, and three premium postcards themed around the game’s world.
Set in a gritty, stylized city filled with crime and corruption, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire casts players as private investigator Jack Pepper, voiced by Troy Baker. The game blends noir storytelling with action as players explore the underbelly of Mouseburg, confronting gangs, corrupt officials, and a tangled mystery involving murder and intrigue. PlaySide Studios, an independent developer based in Melbourne, Australia, is publishing the title, continuing its portfolio of diverse and creative projects.
