

This morning, Nintendo put out a 15-minute Indie World Showcase. In it, various indie games coming to the Switch and Switch 2 got a spotlight, including new footage and occasional developer insight.
The first game shown off in the presentation was Denshattack, a fast-paced game focused on riding and performing tricks using a train as it journeys across Japan from the future. The game also includes bosses, who defend the tracks in service of an evil megacorp. The developers at Undercoders explain more about the details of the game following the trailer, stating that they wanted to create a rebellious game inspired by old arcade titles. The game is set to launch on June 17th, with the demo available today.
Viewers next got a look at My Little Puppy by Dreamotion. The game is an adventure set in the dog afterlife, where after reaching doggy heaven, players will control a loyal dog as it helps save its dad. The game will be available on May 29th.
Heave Ho 2 was announced for the Switch and Switch 2 at the direct, a sequel which involves grabbing ahold of other players to create chains. By swinging the chains, players are able to traverse the obstacles and reach the goal. The game encourages cooperation by punishing all players if even one lets go at the wrong time. The game will be available in the summer of 2026.
Another game revealed was Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault. In it, players will work as a merchant during the day and go on adventures at night. The game sees people forced out of their homes and into a new village where they must build up the town and resources. Both aspects of the game become important as players can use the various items they gather to help mix up their gameplay with different combos and then sell the treasure they find in their shop. The game will release in 2026.
The next game revealed was Woodo, a puzzle game focused on creating dioramas. The main characters, Foxy the Fox and Ben the Frog, have stories to tell that slowly come alive as players piece them together. Woodo is coming to both the Switch and the Switch 2 in 2026.
Minishoot’ Adventure is a spaceship-based shooter adventure where players must free their friends from the crystals that have trapped them. Players will face hectic bullet patterns and have the opportunity to enhance their abilities through ship upgrades. The game is coming to both Switch systems later today.
The showcase takes a darker turn with The Midnight Walk, a first-person game filled with disturbing monsters. Developed by Moon Hood Studios, the adventure takes players to dark and cold climates, with only torches or fire launchers to stave off the monstrous creatures. It will be available March 26th.
The developers at Klei Entertainment introduce the next game, introducing Rotwood as a game that reward learning more about its mechanics and improving with each run. The side-scrolling action game allows for up to 4 players at once and features massive boss battles with learnable attack patterns. Rotwood is coming to the Switch 2 later today.
The next trailer for Mixtape by Annapurna Interactive focuses on story elements and captures the feeling of being a teenager. The trailer follows three teens as they question the world around them and themselves, all while listening to their mixtapes and riding skateboards. The game will release May 7th.
Blighted is a new action RPG where the entire world has been overrun by Blight, stemming from the main character’s sister. As the only survivor, the player will be forced to take on the ruined world. As they advance, the Blight will grow stronger, leading to larger rewards. It also features local and online coop. Blighted will be available in fall of 2026.
Deadzone: Rogue is an FPS roguelike set in a sci-fi world. Players begin by awaking in a mysterious ship. Players will traverse rooms and complete mission either solo or with friends. They will be attacked by biomechanical enemies that offer upgrades when defeated. The game will be available on March 17th, 2026.
The next few games are shown off back-to-back. The first of these is Grave Seasons by Blumhouse Games and Perfect Garbage. The game features elements of exploration, cultivation, and collecting. It will be available in the summer of 2026.
Unrailed 2: Back on Track is an expansion of the ideas from the original game with vibrant, blocky visuals presented in a top-down view. The game will be available as a demo later today.
Toem, by Something We Made is a black and white game which blends 2D characters with 3D environments. The small trailer shows off the player platforming and talking to locals. The game is coming in the summer of 2026.
Next up is inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories. The game will see players placing and arranging items in the store as they see fit and then checking out customers. It releases on April 30th.
Outbound is a wilderness game by Silver Lining Interactive and Square Globe Games. Players will travel, using their ax to chop down wood and build a house. It launches April 23rd with a demo available today.
The presentation shows off Ratatan with a bang, going right into the crazy rhythm combat that sends damage numbers and effects popping all over the screen. The game is coming July 16th, 2026.
The final reveal of the presentation is Blue Prince, a nominee last year for Game of the Year, coming to Nintendo Switch 2. The puzzle game sees players traversing through a mansion that resets each day. The game is also compatible with the mouse controls for the Switch 2. The game is set to be available later today.
