Surprisingly, one of the most endearing features of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to many fans is the non-turtle supporting cast. In line with this, the new DLC for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate will include the addition of one such character, Alopex, a mutant arctic fox. The DLC marks the first addition to the game since its initial release, including both free and paid content to fit alongside the base experience.

Released on November 6th, 2024, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is top-down action game developed and published by Super Evil Megacorp. The game features roguelike elements while supporting local and online multiplayer. As to be expected, players are able to control the turtles and their friends on a mission to save their master Splinter from Shedder and the Foot Clan. The new character, Alopex, was originally mutated to serve Shedder, though now works alongside the turtles to get revenge. A trailer was released alongside the announcement of the new content to show off her abilities, including shuriken and kunai attacks for melee or ranged combat. These attacks can also be modified using the game’s Ninja, Water, and Flame powers.

A recent announcement on the game’s Steam store page highlights the other changes that came with the release of the DLC. These include five new artifacts in the Polar Bear Netsuke, The Maltese Hamster, Channel Six Mini Camera, Hot Cocoa (with Marshmallows), and Buddy the Wraith. The base game will also be receiving improvements with four new pepper challenges, a prestige system based on the completing runs, new combat rooms from throughout the world of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Finally, the update will include improvements to game balance and quality of life.
