Along with the new trailer arriving next week for Battlefield 1, the map for the game has also been released.
Battlefield 1 is set to take place during WWI, with features such as trains since the railway industry was in its prime during the WWI era, according to Gamespot. Since the game takes place during WW1, players will be using pre-modern military grade weaponry, including close combat weapons as well as the fire arms during that era. A publisher said in a blog post the trailer would be releasing a “trainload” of information. Whether this was a pun about the new train feature or if there will be a lot more information released other than the train feature is currently unknown.
EA is currently allowing a select group of people, mainly Twitch streamers and Let’s Players on YouTube to play a demo featuring the map itself on August 16. It will be broadcast on August 16 during Gamescon at 12:00 PM PT/ 3 PM ET, although it is currently known if that will also be the release date for the trailer as well. EA has not released the name of the map that they will be playing on but does say the map itself will contain “points to capture, horses to ride and things to demolish.”
