Recently, in the Nepal map in Overwatch a couple of people discovered a nifty little trick to it. In the video below they show how to do this little glitch to reach a new part of the map that has just been waiting for someone to discover. Within this discovery, they were able to find that this new part of the map has been fully developed so it could’ve been a part of the map that was either cut from the final cut or is just there waiting for its moment to shine in the game. Whether Blizzard plans to patch this glitch or leave it as is for now.
While this can add something new to one map, Blizzard has been releasing new updates to nerf and buff certain heroes to help balance out the game. The one map change does not completely ruin gameplay so it could be around for a while and it does not have any big map components like control points to it, but it has all the other major map components to it. To enter this part of the map would be a long trip to go through during a real match so most players will most likely not enter the new level.
Hopefully Blizzard keeps this little glitch in the map, as it would be a neat thing for all players to go and discover on their own. It is neat to see that there are still little things that people can discover maybe some other maps out there have another level to it just waiting to be discovered. Blizzard is known to have little easter eggs hidden in their games so having another level could be out there in another map.
