Recently the Amazon Prime Original show The Boys released the trailer for the fifth and final season. With a release date of April 8, 2026 the show is already building more hype to end the successful series. Sony Pictures Virtual Reality and Brazilian game developer ARVORE Immersive have teamed up to showcase a new stealth action VR experience taking place in The Boys universe.
In The Boys: Trigger Warning you play as an original character named Lucas Costa. Your life is is turned upside down when the “Armstrongs” a degenerate family of Vought Supes turn a family outing into carnage. You then meet “The Boys” who get you back up on your feet seeking revenge for your family. According to the game’s description on the PlayStation Store “The Boys: Trigger Warning plunges you into the gloriously twisted world of The Boys. This time, you’re not watching the chaos—you’re in it: close-up, personal, and dangerously real.”
Having the game be playable in virtual reality brings a whole new interactive experience to the series. The game allows you to choose how you want to deal with the enemies you come face to face with. “Stealth or Chaos, Plan it out or blow it up. Either way, it’s ugly.” The game presents itself as stealth-action, including boss fights with villianous Supes from the show.
The Boys: Trigger Warning also features fan favorite characters from the show like Homelander and Butcher. However, according to the games description on the PlayStation Store there are only four actors that will be reprising their roles in the voice acting of the game. Laz Alonso as M.M., Colby Minifie as Ashley and P.J. Byrne as Adam Bourke, as well as Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy.
Characters from The Boys have appeared previously in other games. Homelander being a playable fighter in a DLC for Mortal Combat 1 and Call of Duty MWII (2022) and Call of Duty MWIII (2023) featured multiple characters from the series such as Homelander, Starlight, A-Train and Black Noir. However this will be the first game anchored in The Boys universe.

In a press release the developers of the game said.
“From day one, we wanted to build an adaptation hand-in-hand with the people who defined this universe,” said CEO Founder and Head of Studio at ARVORE Ricardo Justus, Founder and Head of Studio at ARVORE. “Working with the show’s writers and cast allowed us to bring the edge, humor, and brutality that made the series iconic, delivered with the spark of magic only ARVORE can create.”
“We’re thrilled to work with ARVORE to bring The Boys: Trigger Warning to life in VR,” said Lance Sloane, SVP of Virtual Reality at Sony Pictures Entertainment. “Having the show’s creators involved in shaping the experience allows us to push the boundaries of immersive storytelling, and we’re grateful to collaborate with our friends at Meta and PlayStation to deliver it to fans.”
In an interview with Variety, Justus also said. “We lean into everything fans expect from ‘The Boys,’ and we worked closely with the producers of the show to bring that tone into the game… The show’s characteristic violence feels even more absurd and physical here because VR puts you right in the middle of it.”
The Boys: Trigger Warning is still currently in the works with an exact release date yet to be confirmed, the only time-frame we have been given is sometime in 2026. However the game is available for purchase on the Meta Quest storefront and available to wishlist on the PlayStation Store.
