Chaossic has announced its debut VR title, Tower of Titans, a hands-first action RPG that brings gesture-based magic, enemy swarms, and colossal boss fights to Meta Quest later this year. Beginning today, the studio is opening a closed alpha through Discord where players can help stress-test the game’s early levels, according to a press release.
Tower of Titans is built on realistic hand-tracking, letting players conjure spells with simple, intuitive gestures. Fireballs form between cupped palms before being hurled into packed formations, while lightning can be arced from the fingertips to sweep through crowds. The combat emphasizes crowd control and knockback effects, with gear and talents offering new ways to experiment on every run.
Buildcrafting is a central part of the experience. Rings fit on individual fingers, bracers modify spell behavior, and cloaks add protection or special effects. A constellation of talents gives players a wide degree of customization, encouraging distinct playstyles. Progression is tied to both character level-ups and spell upgrades, ensuring long-term replayability as new builds emerge.
Boss encounters stand out as one of Tower of Titans’ defining features. After carving through waves of orcs and guardians, players will face Titans that dwarf the battlefield. These encounters play out cinematically, requiring careful movement, precise spell timing, and the breaking of weak points to bring the massive beings down.
Chaossic is inviting players to join its community through Discord, where feedback from the closed alpha will help refine systems and balance. The team has also launched a Creator Partnership Program, giving streamers and content creators early access to builds, priority streaming rights, and the chance to work directly with the developers on features that make gameplay footage shine.
Tower of Titans is being developed by Chaossic, a Chongqing-based studio founded by Jingyang “Yang” Xu, formerly CTO of Pathea Games. The project represents the studio’s goal of pushing VR beyond controllers, with a focus on creating worlds where spellcasting feels tangible. Tower of Titans is slated for release later this year on Meta Quest.
