Arknights: Endfield, the upcoming 3D real-time RPG from GRYPHLINE and Hypergryph, made a commanding first impression at Anime Expo and Japan Expo 2025, drawing massive crowds and kicking off its global pre-release showcase with style, strategy, and plenty of swag.
The game’s booth welcomed over 35,000 visitors across both events, with more than 3,500 fans going hands-on with the demo, according to a press release. A steady rhythm of cosplay photo ops, giveaways, and the first wave of official merchandise helped transform the booths into a microcosm of Endfield’s mechanical-fantasy world — one that fans will soon be exploring on PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile.

With seven professional cosplayers in full regalia portraying characters like the Endministrators, Perlica, and Laevatian, fans snapped photos and traded impressions about the game’s most recent beta test. Interactive booth missions encouraged exploration, as stamp-card completions unlocked exclusive goodies including a holographic fan, postcard, AR print, and even the chance to win a plush Bunny mascot. The game’s stylized sci-fi aesthetic and strategic combat hooks were on full display, leaving both returning Arknights fans and new players eager for what’s next.

GRYPHLINE isn’t letting momentum slow down, either. Arknights: Endfield will appear next at Gamescom 2025, from August 20 to 24, where the publisher promises expanded stage programming, guest creators, and new gameplay. A playable version of the game will include a hands-on look at the evolving AIC progression system through an exclusive on-site installation. Stage events featuring influencer guests and more surprise reveals are set to take place from August 21 to 24, with full details still under wraps.

Set within the universe of the original Arknights — a globally successful mobile tower defense hybrid with over 100 million downloads — Endfield takes the franchise in a bold new direction. Trading in 2D defense grids for expansive 3D battlefields and real-time strategy, the game focuses on fluid combat, base-building, and story-driven exploration. Players command a team of Operators while uncovering the secrets of Talos-II, a sci-fi frontier haunted by unknown threats and shaped by the choices they make.
Arknights: Endfield is currently in development and will release on PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile devices. Fans can expect more updates, footage, and surprises during its Gamescom 2025 showcase — a pivotal next step in GRYPHLINE’s rollout for one of the year’s most ambitious anime-styled RPGs.
