Riot Games’ official trailer has indicated that famous bot laner Jian “Uzi” Zihao from China will be the second person inducted into the League of Legends Hall of Legends. Faker’s induction last year left fans wondering who else would be deserving of another spot following the legendary player with the moniker “Unkillable Demon King”.

The Hall of Legends was started by Riot Games to commemorate players who have made a long-lasting contribution to the League of Legends competitive scene. Faker’s award was well deserved in the eyes of many League of Legends fans as the only player ever to win 4 World Championships and a slew of other titles. His induction was followed up with an official trophy, and an in-game event which set the precedent for future inductions into the Hall of Legends.

Uzi’s induction will keep this tradition alive, particularly as Uzi is seen as the face of Chinese League of Legends with the moniker of “Mad Dog” due to his aggressive player style. He was known for his incredible ability to carry matches on his own due to his mechanical prowess, with no other bot laner able to compete with him for many years in his career. Caster Jun in the official trailer even famously said, “When I saw Uzi play, I realized what the word ‘carry’ meant,” implying that Uzi’s play alone single-handedly redefined what it means to be a bot laner.

According to the official Riot Games website, Uzi will be formally honored at the official Hall of Legends Induction Ceremony in Shanghai, China, on June 6th. Then, on June 11th, his in-game event will go live, which was made in collaboration with Uzi himself. The event trailer known as “The Relentless Hunter” was recently released, featuring skins inspired by Uzi’s legend and showcasing awards from the event.

Mercedes-Benz will also be present at the event to present Uzi with a custom art piece, a personalized Mercedes-Benz G-Class with EG Technology.
