

Last week, there was speculation that Sony would announce price cuts to both the PlayStation 5 Pro and base PlayStation 5 console. This comes following Nintendo and Microsoft adjusting its prices to hardware, accessories, and consoles, following the Trump administration’s Tariffs. Many are expecting PlayStation to follow suit which makes the price cuts seem odd at this moment in time. Reliable leaker Billbil-kun, who has a good track record with PlayStation’s announcements prior to their official announcements. Billbil-kun said May’s Days of Play 2025 promotion will include cuts to its hardware. Billbil-kun also said that there may also be discounts to PlayStation Plus subscriptions. Today, PlayStation confirmed the reports revealing its plans for Days of Play 2025, which kicks off on May 28 and runs through June 11. PlayStation announced that Days of Play will include community activities, new content to PlayStation Plus, and the aforementioned offers on PS5 consoles, games, and accessories.

In select regions, PlayStation is offering discounts on hardware and accessories, including PS5 consoles, DualSense controllers, and more. During Days of Play, the PS5 Pro will be 50$ off. In the United States and Canada, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 bundle will cost USD 399.99 / $509.99 CAD (Save up to $119.99 USD / $159.99 CAD compared to buying separately). In Europe and Asia, the PlayStation 5 console will be priced starting at €399.99 / £339.99 / ¥65,980.
The PlayStation VR2 and PlayStation VR2 Horizon: Call of the Mountain bundle will be $50 off. The Pulse Explore wireless earbuds and DualSense Edge wireless controller will be discounted $30. The Access controller and the DualSense controller will be $20 off. There will also be various discounts on PS5 games including Astro Bot, MLB The Show 25, The Last of Us Part II Remastered, and LEGO Horizon Adventures.

The PlayStation Plus games for June have been revealed. PlayStation Plus members across all tiers can get NBA 2K25, Alone in the Dark, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, and Destiny 2: The Final Shape. Games being added to the Game Catalog across the month of June includes Another Crab’s Treasure (available May 29), Skull and Bones (available June 2), Destiny 2: Legacy Collection (available June 4), and Grand Theft Auto III (available June 10). On June 5, Myst and Riven will be added to the Classics Catalog. Starting on May 28, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Sid Meier’s Civilization VII will get Game trials that members can take advantage of.

Players can participate in special PlayStation tournaments for NBA 2K25 from June 3 through June 11. Players can compete in multiple competitions each day for a chance to win prizes including NBA 2K Virtual Currency and Days of Play-themed PlayStation Network avatars.
During Days of Play, 12-month PlayStation Plus memberships are discounted 33%. Players who currently own a Essential or Extra membership can save 33% for the remainder of their membership when upgrading to the Premium/Deluxe memberships.
PlayStation Plus memberships can also enjoy 10% off movies store-wide on Sony Pictures Core as well as double discounts for limited-time Flash Sales dropping every few days from May 28 through June 11.
