Summer is coming fast, which, in the video game industry, means big game announcements from a variety of different events from different publishers such as Xbox. Today, they have announced that the Xbox Games Showcase, its big Summer event is set for June 8 this year at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 6 pm UK. Last year, the Showcase was immediately followed by a Direct focused on Call of Duty: Black Ops VI. This year will follow in a similar vein with The Outer Worlds 2 Direct immediately following.

The Xbox Games Showcase will provide a look at upcoming titles from Xbox’s first-party studios, in addition to incredible new titles from its third-party partners across the globe. “This year, the show will be digital-only – our livestream will bring you everything you’ll need to know about what’s next for Xbox, no matter where in the world you’re watching,” Joe Skrebels, Xbox Wire Editor-in-Chief said.

The Outer Worlds 2 Direct will reveal new gameplay, details, and developer insights, straight from the people inside the walls of Obsidian Entertainment making the sequel to the award-winning, first-person sci-fi RPG.

In addition to the announcement of the Showcase and Direct, new, exclusive gameplay was released, showcasing the sequel’s new gameplay systems in action.

The Showcase and Direct can be viewed through a variety of outlets, including YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook; in over 40 languages as well as American Sign Language, British Sign Language, and English Audio Descriptions.
