Dying Light 2 was first released on February 4th, 2022, on PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. To celebrate Halloween this year, Dying Light 2 made a statement on X confirming there will be an in-game event held.
Our Halloween event returns in the original Dying Light! Pumpkintiles and other spooky monsters are waiting for you in the game right now. Use trick-or-treat potions during your nightly pursuits, and try not to die. This event ends on November 6.#DyingLight pic.twitter.com/5ls1toay94
— Dying Light (@DyingLightGame) October 23, 2024
The event is limited-time and is running from October 25th, 2024, until November 6th, 2024. Part of this event is a new type of zombie called pumkintiles. They have pumpkin heads along with the other infected enemies. After defeating these enemies, they will drop treats that players can collect. There will be a new vendor called Baka the Unfortunate located at the Bazar. Players can gain masks, potions, and event-themed items with treats they earn.
According to My Spirit Halloween, there will be key mechanics and rewards.
The key mechanics are:
- Collect Treats: Dropped by defeated Pumpkintiles and other infected enemies.
- Bounties: Earn RP by completing individual objectives (solo or multiplayer).
- Global Community Goal: Collect 150 million Treats to unlock the rare Dying Laugh Charm for all participants
The rewards are:
- All Hallows’ Eve Masks (Legendary) – 2500 Treats
- Trick-or-Treat Potion Packs – 300 Treats per pack
- Jack’O Mask – Rewarded for collecting 6,000 Treats
- Dying Laugh Charm – Awarded if the community achieves the global goal
As stated, the event will end on November 6th, 2024, but from November 3rd to November 10th, players can still receive a creepy clown costume, a themed weapon, and a custom paraglider skin for free.
Dying Light 2 is trying to encourage the community to participate and achieve the goal of collecting 150 million treats by the end of the event. Teaming up will allow players to achieve this goal while offering more RP and unlocking harder rewards faster, such as the Jack’O Mask and Trick-or-Treat potion packs.
