In the least surprising news of the year, the billion-dollar LEGO Game Franchise is making a game based on the billion dollar grossing Star Wars: The Force Awakens. TT Games, who have made the last 80 LEGO games, are bringing their signature style to The Force Awakens. So if you have a four year old or you are a four year old, then you can experience the same combat system with one combo and going from point A to point B that this series is known for. The game is coming to PC, PS4, PS3, XBOX 360, XBOX ONE, Wii U, 3DS, PS Vita, Commodore 64, and Atari Lynx . LSW:TFA is set to hit stores and Redboxes on June 28th.
In all seriousness, the trailer does a good job of remaking the original trailer for the movie while adding some goofy humor. I really chuckled when that Stormtrooper was flickering with the lights. It’s unclear whether the game will have dialouge or not, but I think the movie is memorable enough that the LEGOs can mime the whole thing. By this point everyone has been basically court ordered by Disney to see the movie, so it’s possible that it could have the same lack of dialogue like the original LEGO Star Wars Trilogy.
It’s also been confirmed by Warner Bros. Games that there will be a deluxe edition of the game with season pass access and an exclusive Finn Mini-Figure. There was also some content that was announced exclusively for Playstation consoles, so if you’ve spent $400 on a PS4 and the game you could possibly get fan-favorite characters like Yarael Poof.
