John Carmack, id Software co-founder, had this to say when asked about the two next-gen consoles:
I haven’t done really rigorous benchmarking [but] they’re very close and they’re both very good.
Carmack was asked about the consoles while at QuakeCon. He continued saying:
It’s almost amazing how close they are in capabilities, how common they are.
Late last night news broke about the Xbox One’s clock speed being “boosted” from 800MHz to 853MHz.
The PS4 and Xbox One will release sometime this fall.
