With months of speculation is has finally been officially confirmed that Twilight Princess is coming to the Wii U. The beloved Zelda game originally was made for both the Gamecube and the Wii U is now coming in spectacular high resolution on the Wii U much like Wind Waker has been done before it.
The remake of Twilight Princess for the Nintendo Wii U will come out on March 4, 2016. This release is good timing as it will be timed pretty well with the tenth anniversary of the game. This is exciting news for the new generation of players who didn’t get to play it. It is also great for those Zelda fans craving for a nostalgic replay who can’t get enough of the original that was released back in 2006.
According to Gamespot the HD remake is being worked on by “Australian Developer Tantalus“. A studio known for making games for a long time most though rather unmemorable aside from a Spyro or movie related game.
The most exciting part of the remake is for the fans of Nintendo’s Amiibo line. As the wolf link with Midna amiibo will be coming out for it. Unlocking some unknown extra goodies. However Nintendo is also promising support for your other Zelda themed Amiibo’s already out for Smash Brothers says Gamespot. Not only that if you use your Zelda themed Amiibo’s in Twilight Princess then purchase the new Zelda game coming next year on Wii U and possible codenamed Nintendo NX you will be able to use information form Twilight Princess in the new game. Whether this means costumes, weapons, hearts, or what else it could be no one knows yet says Gamespot.
This is an exciting time for Zelda fans so save up your money for the March Release and happy gaming!
