As we near the end of Fortnite OG, there’s already excitement on the horizon as over the past couple days there have been many leaks and confirmations by Fortnite themselves about the future of the game. Many players have been keen on finding any news on what turn the Fortnite story will take next with many fearing that it won’t live up to the excitement that this season’s Fortnite OG has brought. But earlier today Epic Games announced that on December 2nd, an “unforgettable” event will be happening to shake up the future of the game. Alongside the announcement came leaks from the previous days that part of the event will be an Eminem collaboration, specifically an in-game concert of which Fortnite has become known for. With previous concerts including Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, and The Kid Laroi.

The leaks came from prominent Fortnite leakers HYPEX, with images emerging of Eminems many skins coming with the event and even his own emote. Many people are confused regarding the choice of Eminem as a focus for the event for many reasons. For one people are concerned that the event may just be a concert and that Eminem will cause the Fortnite Big Bang. Yeah, read that sentence again. Another confusion is that the rapper that many regard as the greatest of all time isn’t exactly the most family-approved person to make the face of an entire event. This comes after Fortnite‘s controversial attempt to make their game more family-friendly with their cosmetic bans that has since been changed.
According to more leaks the event is looking to be the biggest in the games history with the event taking up more than 1.5 GB’s of files alone. For reference the closest event to this was only 760 MB’s. Alongside the event will be another long-awaited collaboration with LEGO, a rhythm mode, and a much-anticipated racing mode. It really looks like Fortnite is going all in for this event with hopes for another popularity spike for one of the most successful games of all time.
