One of the greatest Mario spin off titles is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack later this week. Nintendo has announced that Mario Party 3 will be making its way to the online subscription service on Friday, October 27 and will be added to the Nintendo 64 section. The third entry in the long running spin off series, Mario Party 3 was one of the last Nintendo-licensed titles to be released on the Nintendo 64, launching as late as December 2000, and May 2001 in North America, and mere months before the Nintendo GameCube was released.
Party all night long in Mario Party 3! Punch, pound, and stampede right over your opponents in a multiplayer melee or go head-to-head in two-player duel mode!

Nintendo also released a trailer, albeit a very short one, showcasing some of the gameplay that one can expect to see when playing Mario Party 3. This includes the plethora of mini-games, different party boards, playable characters, as well as Bowser and his shenanigans. This was also the first entry in the series to have Daisy and Waluigi as playable characters, both of whom have become longtime stalwarts in future titles.
Mario Party 3 joins a selective list of Nintendo 64 titles that were placed into the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. This includes Mario Kart 64, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, GoldenEye 007, and Banjo-Kazooie to name a few. The N64 Nintendo Switch Online library has arguably the smallest amount of titles to offer, but the quality in the titles selected have been on point. That being said, many fans have been calling on Nintendo to release more on a consistent basis, something that has been a common complaint since it launched back in Summer 2021. Nintendo doesn’t seems like they’re going to change this process any time soon, so for the time being we’ll enjoy the current offering of N64 titles they’ve release, including the upcoming Mario Party 3.
