Stardew Valley is a product of love by its developer, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone, who single-handedly created the 2016 farming sim as a spiritual successor to the Harvest Moon/Story of Season game series. Despite having no formal training in music, ConcernedApe still created the game’s iconic soundtrack himself. Today, he announced a concert tour of the soundtrack entitled Stardew Valley: Festival of Seasons personally curated by him.
The tour promises that it will “take you on a musical journey through the four seasons of the valley, its unforgettable festivals, and its beloved villagers.” The orchestra will be sectioned into four to represent the four seasons with arrangements being led by Thanapol Setabrahmana, one of Thailand’s grandest young conductors.
The popular soundtrack features over 70 songs, bringing a variety of atmospheres to the game. While all 70 songs will not fit into a single concert, ConcernedApe and SOHO Live, the Tokyo-based company ConcernedApe has partnered with for the tour, have confirmed that there will be a few set songs at each tour stop. They also stated there will be “plenty of surprises and fan-favorite deep-cuts.”
The following songs have been confirmed to be performed at every show:
- Stardew Valley Overture
- (Spring) The Valley Comes Alive
- Dance of the Moonlight Jellies
This news comes only a few weeks after ConcernedApe announced an official Stardew Valley cookbook on Twitter/X. The cookbook, featuring over 50 recipes from the game, is set to launch in Spring 2024, although checking out their website leads to a free recipe for “Lucky Lunch.”
