Star Trek: Resurgence follows The U.S.S. Resolute’s First Officer Jara Rydek and Engineering Crewperson Carter Diaz as they struggle to find a resolution between two alien civilizations after a worker uprising threatens the tenuous peace between the two. Players will experience the conflict and larger mystery from two perspectives. Rydek is part of the diplomatic envoy led by Ambassador Spock that is tasked with finding the resolution and discovering the ultimate source of the situation. With Diaz, players will see how the mission plays out from the lower decks, caught up in the events in his own unique way.
The game was developed by Dramatic Labs, an independent games studio made up of Telltale Games veterans. “We’re thrilled that Dramatic Labs’ debut release, Star Trek: Resurgence, is out and available to fans around the world. Our team at Dramatic Labs couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished,” said Kevin Bruner, Founder of Dramatic Labs. “We can’t wait for Star Trek fans and those that adore rich narrative storytelling to experience a one-of-a-kind adventure, with the daring crew of the U.S.S. Resolute.”
“From Telltale Games to Dramatic Labs, telling nuanced and deeply layered stories in video games is in our DNA,” said Brett Tosti, Executive Producer on Star Trek: Resurgence. “This release marks the next stage in our evolution as game developers, utilizing our core learnings through years in the industry and taking this to the next level with a modern experience that is familiar yet wholly original.”
