Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has had an unfortunate history so far with bugs and glitches in its game and the recent Great Tusk and Iron Treads tera raids have proven to not be an exception. In a recent Gamerant article, they noted that multiple players on Twitter have revealed that they have had a few different issues with their game, including receiving item slots that just say “none,” and some crashing all together once the raid completes.
Pokémon tera raids have been a staple of the game since the game first came out back in November 2022. All different types of Pokémon have been a part of these tera raids, but according to Clutchpoints, this is only the third time a paradox tera raid battle has happened.
As stated earlier, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are no strangers to bugs, as the games were heavily criticized for issues such as heavy lag (and by extension low framerates), pokémon and characters clipping or disappearing and game crashing to list just a few, as reported by Wegotthiscovered. This tera raid bug seems to be in line with the issues the game has had in the past, however NintendoSoup notes in their article that Nintendo has acknowledged the bug and has taken the entire event offline. As of right now, the event has been moved to a new, unspecified date, where updates are sure to come as Nintendo finds out more about the current issues.
It is unclear what the plan will be for future tera raids or if this could become an issue for upcoming tera raids, but Nintendo has shown that they are attempting to fix the problem. As of right now there have been no concrete updates, but only time will tell how this could affect future tera raids and the players involved.
