Xbox recently made an announcement concerning the Home experience. Just a few days ago, Xbox Insiders shared a blog post detailing an update that would make changes to the dashboard. These adjustments were made amid Xbox community concerns that the dashboard was too crowded. Through multi-month experiments, the company aims to create an optimized Xbox Home experience for players.
Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha #XboxInsiders! We have an update on the New Xbox Home Experience. For all the details, check out the blog post linked below: https://t.co/ejdm9Qumxc

The blog post was made by Ivy Krislov, Xbox Experiences Senior Product Manager Lead. Regarding this update, she wrote, “Alpha and Alpha-Skip Xbox Insiders who were using the experiment version of Home will revert to the Xbox Home experience that you were originally using. Your previous customized settings and backgrounds from Home will revert to what they were prior to the experiments, and we’ll save your ‘new Home’ settings.”
The dashboard update was designed to be more accessible for every player.
“We heard from you that the changes to the top of Home did not leave enough space for you to enjoy your backgrounds and that it felt crowded,” Krislov writes. “We’re working to balance the experience, accessibility, function, and the needs of our community and bring you a great and refreshed Home experience.”
These dashboard alterations were made possible thanks to multi-month Home console experiments. Announced back in September 2022, Krislov wrote:
Starting this week, a random subset of Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring will see some layout, design, and ease of access changes as we experiment with different approaches. In addition, we are also exploring options for new game channels and collections when you scroll down that include content that’s curated for you based on things like the games you’ve played or how to make the most out of your Game Pass subscription.
No specific details were provided about the update’s release. Additional information about this update is to be announced.
