Nintendo gave its first sneak peak of the Booster Course Pass’ fourth wave during its February Nintendo Direct, where they unveiled Birdo would be a new playable medium weight racer in addition to one of the wave’s new courses, Yoshi’s Island circuit. Yesterday’s announcement revealed not only Wave 4’s release date, but also the seven other tracks that will arrive along side Birdo next week through the new Fruit and Boomerang Cups.
In the Fruit Cup, racers will be able to play on not only Yoshi’s Island, a new course inspired by Super Mario World: Yoshi’s Island 2 for the SNES, but also an updated Riverside Park from Mario Kart: Super Circuit and DK Summit from Mario Kart Wii. Amsterdam Drift from the mobile game Mario Kart Tour is also included in this cup. The Boomerang Cup features Mario Kart Circuit from Mario Kart DS, and Waluigi Stadium from Mario Kart: Double-Dash!! The new course list is capped off by Bangkok Rush and Singapore Speedway, both originating from Mario Kart Tour.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe‘s full Booster Course Pack can be purchased for $24.99 from the Nintendo eShop or comes included with a membership to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. According to Nintendo, two more waves of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC are still planned, which will introduce not only more racetracks but also new characters not yet revealed.
