After several years of absence, Naxxramas is making a return to Hearthstone. Patch 25.4 includes a 38 Mini-Set for March of the Lich King. You can use in-game currency to buy both the full 72-card Mini-Set or the Golden Version of the set.
The Mini-Set also includes all-new Dual-Type minion creations, advanced synergies, and a terrifying new way to win the game!
One of the first Death Knight minions that can hold mixed runes is being included in this pack, “Frost Queen Sindragosa”. The Death Knight class is also getting a new location called Construct Quarter and will synergize with seven additional dual-type minions.
Adding six new Mercenaries to the patch, including different types to represent identities, “Human-Undead” and “Celestial-Beasts.” Mercenaries will also be gaining a new feature called factions. Including the classic Horde and Alliance, Explorers, The Empire, Legion, and Pirates.
The final big update is the Mercenaries getting a new weekly challenge called the “Mythic Boss Rush” that resets towards the end of the week. “Mythic Boss Rush adds tons of replayability to Mercenaries for players who love the PVE aspect of the mode and are hungry to push their Parties to the limits.” according to Hearthstone’s website. However, this will be the last update to Mercenaries, stating “Mercenaries will continue to get support for bug fixes and periodic balance changes as needed, but no further regular content updates.”
Lastly, the developers are adding a new cosmetic feature that allows you to have a corgi to show off in battle. Darion will be included in a Death Knight bundle that features Heathestonea corgi, and so will Nemsy with a Warlock bundle.
Hearthstone officially dropped the news on Twitter, “This next fight will not be easy. We hear Naxxramas has RETURNED… and it’s very fun.”. The release of this update is coming out on February 14.
